The Music Stand was founded in 2013 by Hope N. Jones and Arlington Jones. Today, Arlington Jones’s work centers on his performing and recording career, alongside his independent endeavors. Hope N. Jones continues to lead The Music Stand, cultivating a growing creative team dedicated to carrying forward the original vision while expanding the organization’s impact through the arts.

In 2005, God gave Hope a detailed vision for a music arts center that would inspire, encourage, and support artists and the people who love them. She wrote down the ideas and shared them with Arlington.

One year later, Hope began writing a book for musicians and their spouses that she eventually called The Music Stand. Hope and Arlington had experienced both the joys and challenges of the music industry and life firsthand, and they shared a desire to create experiences and support through music and the arts.

Over time, the ideas and writings that began as The Music Stand evolved into LifeNotes, the organization’s inspirational publication and artist support initiative.

That original vision and The Music Stand title were used to form and frame the heart of the nonprofit organization, and the dream and mission live on.
